Start your year with self-love and compassion to release stress and relieve pain.
“The body always leads us home…if we can simply learn to trust sensation and stay with it long enough for it to reveal appropriate action, movement, insight, or feeling.” — Pat Ogden
What if the tension, aches, weariness you feel aren’t problems to fix—but a message to understand?
What if you could reframe stress symptoms as signals? Our bodies are designed to adapt to stress, but when emotional, mental or physical stress piles up, and our body can’t keep up, it speaks to us. First it whispers…. Then it yells. Listening—without fear—opens the door to release, regulation, and a new path.
As a society, we’ve grown more dissociated, disconnected, and stressed than ever before. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Through the lens of modern pain science, somatic practices, and yoga philosophy, we can learn to calm the nervous system, restore a sense of safety, and reconnect with the body’s innate wisdom.
During this 90-minute experience, we’ll blend education with embodied practice to explore stress symptoms as signals—not failures. Through breathwork, meditation, gentle trauma-informed movement, and guided reflection, you’ll practice meeting your body with curiosity, safety, and compassion.
You’ll experience:
A brief introduction to the bio-psycho-social model of pain
Guided breathwork + meditation to shift from stress to restoration
Gentle somatic and yoga-informed movement (fully accessible for beginners)
Reflective journaling and a “Love Letter to Your Body” practice
You’ll leave with evidence-based resources from leading pain experts and simple tools you can use anytime to soften stress, ease pain, and turn down the volume on overwhelm by befriending your body.
All are welcome — no yoga experience needed.
Bring a journal if you’d like.
