Seed Collection and Yard Tour

Wild Ones members don’t miss this chance to collect a wide variety of native seeds while touring an in progress restoration prairie and wetland on 20 Acres in Pewaukee. We will also be demonstrating winter seed sowing and invasive species control equipment.

Bring envelopes along with a pen/pencil to label the seeds. Plan to collect about different types seeds including, Common Milkweed, Asters, Coneflowers, Indian Grass, Big Bluestem, Ironweed, Baptisia , Rattlesnake master and more . A handout with the native plants in the garden will be provided. Sturdy hiking shoes for trails and some wet areas and gloves. Parking is limited please consider car pooling.
