Ethan Thompson: Harpist and Author

Ethans' Bio:

Born in Chesterfield, VA in 2007, Ethan began his musical education at the age of six.  During his upper elementary school years, Ethan began to receive classical singing lessons and became a member of the Greenspring International Academy of Music choral ensemble, the Virginia Choristers.  Ethan soon discovered his love for playing the harp at Greenspring, and began lessons under Lynelle Ediger, the founder of the academy.  Ethan quickly advanced to become a member of the American Youth Harp Ensemble traveling throughout Virginia and the east coast performing concerts. To continue to hone his harp skills, he has studied under world renowned musicians to include Claire Jones, the former Official Royal harpist to King Charles III, and international composer and percussionist, Chris Marshall.  Ethan applied his harp skills to attend Appomattox Regional Governors School in Petersburg VA where he was a music major and performed with the orchestra, and band. Ethan graduated this past May, and will be attending Shenandoah University majoring in harp performance and composition.
