Come join us for an exciting evening at Castle Eden Dene NNR to learn all about our fascinating nocturnal friends - bats!

This in-person event will give you the chance to discover more about these amazing creatures and maybe even see them in action. Join our local bat expert from Northumberland Bat Group and our specialised equiptment and listen out for bat calls and learn to identify them. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to explore the world of bats in a beautiful natural setting. See you there!

This is a free event but we will be taking voluntary cash donations on the day towards Northumberland Bat Group who have so gratefully donated their time to help us run this event so if you can spare a little cash please bring this along.

Note: All children must be supervised by an adult.

Parking is available at the main Castle Eden Dene Car Park at Stanhope Chase.

When attending events in the Dene please always ensure you have sensible footwear as paths can be muddy during wet weather.

Please wear appropriate clothing for the conditions when attending an event at the Dene.

Due to the natural landscape of the Dene there are many steep slopes and access may be difficult for those with push chairs or with limited mobility.
