After the success of our first Britpop Party of the year we're doing it again on a traditional 'Big Night Out' in Peterborough- August . Bank Holiday Friday in the 90's were as big - if not bigger than a Saturday night!!
If you were into alternative clubbing in the 90s in Peterborough then Saturday nights meant one thing - The Sugar Club BUT , this movement was being replicated all over the country with alternative / indie clubs springing up everywhere - so if you're new to the area and missed out on The Sugar then you're welcome to come to The Met and relive your own particular club venue - the music will be familiar to all
Bands like Oasis Blur Suede Pulp Stone Roses Happy Mondays, (ok late 80's!). Prodigy Nirvana , Pixies , Fat Boy Slim Stereo MC's RHCP .
In a nutshell every that was good Alternative wise from the 90's
We've 2 of the original Sugar Club DJ's on the decks all night - Martin Rowe and Nathan Cirello.
We'll even be serving Snakebite & Black as standard behind the bar!!
Because its a Bank Holiday Weekend we're starting at 10pm and running through til 3am- so you can take Saturday out to rest!
In a nutshell, if you were there in the 90's , its time to do it all again - after all if the most famous band from the decade can kiss and make up and do a 2 hour show on stage then we're sure you can manage a few hours on a Friday night!!
