We are delighted to invite you to the 4th annual hockey festival. We are again hosting this event at the school playing fields on Garton End Road. There is plenty of parking for all players & supporters.
The festival is open to players of all ability and any member of "The King's Family". This includes staff past & present, students past & present, parents of students or players who are offspring of past students! Let us know if you need to borrow a stick and/or shin pads.
Teams are mixed 7 a-side with squads of up to 10 players. If you don't have team, we can do this for you!
It's £10 per player for the day.
Those who have their playing tops from last year will be in the same team colours again this year. Those new to the festival will be asked for a further £12 to cover the cost of your team shirt. You will be asked for shirt size on ordering.
There will be refreshments for sale during the break for lunch. Also, a raffle. We hope you will show your support to both.
With the proceeds from the last 2 hockey festivals, The OPA have been able to purchase new team tops for the Girls senior team at School. Thank you to all who played a part in raising this money. Hopefully, we will raise enough this year to support the PE department again.
There will be a presentation of awards at the end of the afternoon including The John Day Shield to the winners. Johns wife and former staff member, Dyl Powell, will present the medals along with Nikki Harris, who has just announced her retirement from KSP this summer.
Please invite family & friends along to spectate during the day! It would be great to have a few former students come along to say farewell to Mrs Harris!
We will need to know teams & number of tops to order by Friday 9th May.
