Each year on June 26th, we celebrate National Canoe Day, our favourite holiday! 🛶
June 26th was coined National Canoe Day by The Canadian Canoe Museum in 2007 following a CBC campaign that declared the canoe one of the Seven Wonders of Canada. Ever since, and in many ways – from proclamations to paddling parties – Canadians have connected and shared their love for canoes (and kayaks, which are always welcome at these celebrations)!
We have a FULL day of activities for #NationalCanoeDay this year – from voyageur canoe tours, hosting a Builder in Residence, a book launch, our Annual General Meeting and more, we will be celebrating throughout the Museum and on the water. We hope you will join us for a day of festivities! 🎉
