Eye Gets Green is a club for young people (12 - 16 years) from Eye or nearby villages, where they can get creative and be green at the same time. It’s a set of four creative workshops/sessions, where young people can try some different activities that they might enjoy. The activities are street art, trying spray painting, stencilling, building characters, trying illustration techniques, planting, making stories, creating 3d characters from air drying clay. Each week is led by a different creative, where they demonstrate and encourage the young people.

Using air dry clay, the group will learn different ceramic techniques such as pinch pots, score and slip and rolling in textures with various objects and natural foliage, to explore making creatures/characters in nature. Inspired by the local mythology of Eye, or straight from your imagination and connection with the green spaces around Eye.
Hannah is an illustrator, printmaker and ceramicist based in South Lincolnshire. Hannah enjoys working with long processes such as lino print and pottery as it allows them to have a slow and considered approach to making, with an air of mystery from the final print reveal or kiln opening. More recently their work has focused on the natural world, the places they have visited and the spiritual connection they feel to them. Hannah is also interested in portraiture, typography, popular culture and folklore.

Access information:
There is ramp that means its wheelchair accessible with two small steps with a handrail into the building. The street art session will use spray cans and we will make sure there is adequate ventilation. The planting with herbs activity will be using compost but we can provide gloves if needed. There will be a sign for Peterborough Presents outside .We will have a quiet space for anyone that needs some time away. Toilets are available for attendees to use inside the main building and they are wheelchair accessible.
Travel information:
There is a bus stop opposite St Matthews Church and the venue is two mins walk away. There is a small car park for 4-5 spaces and drop off’s etc. This is also good for blue badge holders. But this is also used by the library, so if you are able to park elsewhere then please do.
