Small Boat Summer Camp at The Floathouse Petaluma (5 sessions)

At The Floathouse Petaluma, we've been running Small Boat Summer Camps since 2007—and year after year, we see campers leave with newfound confidence. Confidence in their bodies. Confidence in their ability to observe, learn, and connect—with nature, with others, and with themselves.

Details: In each session, which runs from 9 am to 1 pm, we host six kids, and instruct them in kayaking, paddle boarding, rowing, canoeing, outrigger canoeing, wetlands environment, tides, winds, and Petaluma River history. On Fridays, we have a special demonstration of sprint kayaking by the local team, River Town Racers, and an hour for guests (parents, grandparents, friends, babysitters...) to learn from the campers!

We wholeheartedly agree with Ratty from Wind in The Willows, who famously said, 'There is nothing—absolutely nothing—half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.'
