Jazz in the Plaza

Free outdoor jazz concerts in Petaluma! Now in its fifth year you can enjoy jazz every Sunday from 1-3:30. Hosted by local jazz bassist music book publisher and KRCB host Chuck Sher he presents a rotating ensemble of professional veteran jazz musicians in Putnam Plaza Park right next to the Speakeasy. This event started in 2020 and has since become a staple for locals and visitors alike. Stop by and enjoy some of the best jazz the Bay Area has to offer! 

On 5/4 the lineup features Steve Steinberg on saxophone Brad Buethe on guitar Bryan Bowman on drums and Chuck Sher on bass.

On 5/11 the lineup features Doug Morton on piano and flugelhorn Morris Acevedo on guitar Kendrick Freeman on drums Chuck Afifi on flute and Chuck Sher on bass.

On 5/18 for the LATIN JAZZ EXTRAVAGANZA! the lineup features Ken Cook on piano Michael Spiro on percussion Kendrick Freeman on drums and David Belove on bass.

On 5/25 the lineup features Steve Hackman on saxophone Wayne de la Cruz on piano Bryan Bowman on drums and Chuck Sher on bass.

These family friendly concerts take place in Putnam Plaza in front of the Speakeasy Restaurant in the heart of downtown Petaluma.
