TILLY'S STORY -
Tilly's Story Hi, I'm a Scottish wildlife artist and animal lover based in the Perth, Scotland. I'm reaching out during a very difficult time.
My beloved 10-month-old Toy Poodle, Tilly, recently needed surgery. Unfortunately, after coming home, she developed serious complications and had to be rushed back to emergency veterinary care.
At just under a year old, we were planning to get Tilly insured from her first birthday 21/07/2025 (as guided ), but sadly, this happened just too soon. As a result, I'm now facing nearly £15,000 in emergency vet bills — and it’s still ongoing. **This does not include the initial surgery costs as i have paid that in full. Only emergency care.
**TILLY HAS RECENTLY BEEN DISCHARGED FROM INTENSIVE CARE AT THE ROYAL (DICK) VETERINARY HOSPITAL, EDINBURGH AFTER NEARLY THREE WEEKS OF CARE.
I’m self-employed and make my living through art, though I often undervalue my work. Financially, this sudden cost is overwhelming — and I could really use a bit of help.
