My name is Chris Mitchell, I have over 20 years experience in the world of motorsports (karting, Single seaters, race promotion, engineering, RC and sim racing) and 15+ years in engineering & design related work in my professional life. I've been racing on & off - in both onroad and off road for the better part of 12-13 years...I've had the pleasure of racing & attending multiple national and world championships along the way, and I have been lucky enough to race in the top 10 at Australian nationals on a few occasions!
I love this hobby/sport to death, and I love sharing some of my knowledge with likeminded people - hoping they can get the same enjoyment from the hobby that I can!
I'm hosting an RC Skills clinic @ WCMRC Sunday October 12th, 2025.
I'm not here to sell you anything, or tell you what to run etc - I simply want to help demystify any questions people might have, and talk through some of the stickier subjects of our beloved RC racing addiction! Ill be covering plenty of topics, from general maintenance and wrenching, to Setup theory and 'what do I change when my car does this?' - down to some driving theory, mental excercises and even a track walk!
Despite this being held at an on road track, the theory and most of the items are applicable to both on road & off road, electric or nitro - so come along and enjoy!

Time: 8.30am - 10:30am
The WCMRC ISTC On road points day will take place afterwards from 11am
Clinic plan:
8:30am - 9:30am: Theory and maintenance talk
9:30am - 10:30am: Driving, mental practice and track walk
11:00am onwards: ISTC points day
I will be on hand all day to help answer questions, or look over your car etc if you want too!
