We are looking forward to continue our Nature Playgroup in Term 2 2025, thanks in part to support from the Rotary Club of Subiaco.
Nature Playgroup runs every Saturday morning during the school term from 9-10am in the Perth City Farm gardens. It’s a great chance for little ones and their guardians to engage with nature, get creative and make new friends. We’re able to offer Nature Playgroup weekly thanks in part to support from the Rotary Club of Subiaco. No two terms are the same at Nature Playgroup, so if you joined us last term, we’d love to welcome you back for a whole new program throughout this term.
This family playgroup is for children aged 2 to 6 years and an accompanying adult. Facilitated by Erin Pedretti, a qualified children’s educator who plans and delivers each session with unique, hands-on activities inspired by what’s happening at Perth City Farm. The guardians stay and participate in the session so that everyone gets to share in the experience of connecting with nature through outdoor play.
Each session has a different theme that responds to the season and what is happening at the Farm. We might look at composting and worms, bees and pollination, microbeasts in the soil, birds, flowers or fresh fruit and veg. We’ll get our hands busy making, playing, exploring and engaging with the natural environment.
Expect to get messy and maybe bring a change of clothes!
The sessions run for 60 minutes. Families can book in for full terms or casual sessions. You will get the best experience if you book this playgroup for the whole term. This will also save you $40 if booking for one child, and $150 for two children. However, we do have some spots available for one off tickets.

The easiest way to get to Perth City Farm is via public transport. We are just down the steps from Claisebrook Train Station, and the Yellow CAT bus stops just out the front. On Saturdays, free parking is available in the TAFE carpark next door.
