This NAIDOC Week, join us for an unforgettable evening of music, film and storytelling as we celebrate the enduring legacy of Bran Nue Dae—Australia’s first Aboriginal musical brought to the big screen.

At the heart of this free, outdoor event is a special appearance by Ernie Dingo, who will reflect on what Bran Nue Dae has meant to him, to the community, and to the broader landscape of Australian storytelling. Ernie’s live Q&A, in conversation with Phil Walleystack, will offer a rare opportunity to hear directly from one of the film’s stars about the stories behind the scenes, the impact of the film on his career and its lasting cultural significance.

More than a movie night, this event is a celebration of legacy, visibility, and connection. Bran Nue Dae broke new ground in Australian cinema—full of heart, humour and pride—and Ernie Dingo’s guest appearance will help us explore why it still resonates so deeply today.

This will be a night to remember, guided by one of our greatest storytellers.
