About the event

Baigup Wetlands - morning excursion
For BLWA members and their guests. Members of the public are welcome to join the walk (bring binoculars).

Leader: Betty Bryant
Straw-necked Ibis. Image: Georgina Steytler

Meet at 7.30 am at the car park near the Paddle Club in Hinds Reserve at the end of Milne Street in Bayswater. Turn south-east off Guildford Road into Milne Street and follow to the end, then turn right into the car park. There is a variety of waterbirds and bush birds. The walk is an easy 2km circuit. Half the route is a universal access sealed path with the option to return that way if desired. The rest is a limestone track, sometimes with wet or rough patches. Wear stout shoes, bring sun and insect protection. Part of the walk is on a popular cycle path, so participants need to be considerate of other path users.

Bring a chair and morning tea to have while we do a combined birdlist.
