Meet at 7:30am at Neil Hawkins Park, in the car park at the end of Boas Avenue. Joondalup Lake has recorded the highest number of species for any BirdLife WA half day excursion with 75 species of birds seen in one morning excursion. There are always lots of waterbirds and bushbirds to be seen around this large lake, and there could be waders as well. Lake Joondalup is within the Northern Swan Coastal Plain Important Bird Area for Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoo. 
 
Bring your telescope if you have one. 
Bring a chair and morning tea to have while we do a combined bird list.
