6th WA Festival of Chinese Music - Guzheng Festival Concert

The 6th WA Festival of Chinese Music - Guzheng Festival Concert will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Methodist Ladies’ College. The concert will feature the WA Chung Wah Chinese Orchestra alongside local musicians and acclaimed vocalists. Performing groups include the Chinese Youth Orchestra, WA Fo Guang Chinese Orchestra, Five Lakes and Four Seas Band, WAAPA students, and school representatives. The festival will also feature the Australian premiere of composer Chenwei Wang’s two-dizi concerto “The Winds of Affinity” and welcome renowned Malaysian ruan/liuqin musician Xianfu Wang as a special guest performer.
