We’re excited to introduce a new winter celebration at 577! This free event invites friends, families, and neighbors to slow down and enjoy the simple joys of the season together.
Step into the coziness of Virginia’s House, where you’ll find live performances by harpist Rebecca Swett and the Northview Tri-M Music Honor Society orchestra ensemble throughout the afternoon. Enjoy cookies and hot chocolate, and take part in a hands-on art activity inside the House.
Festive creativity will also fill the Green Door Studio, where participants of all ages can join in eco-friendly make-and-take projects. As part of this celebration, guests will be invited to create a piece of art for themselves and make one to share. These community-made cards and small artworks will be passed along to people in our wider community who could use a little extra brightness this season—a simple act of kindness that spreads joy beyond our walls.
The Welcome Center & Curiosity Shop will be open with the corn stove glowing and shelves filled with local art, handmade gifts, books, art supplies, pottery, and thoughtful treasures—perfect for holiday giving while supporting local artists.
Join us for an afternoon of community, creativity, and warmth as we celebrate joy and light together for the first time.
