Krysta Aina is a dynamic contemporary artist known for her evocative and vibrant creations. With a background in fine art and a degree in communications, Krysta blends traditional techniques with modern aesthetics, documenting her process on social media. Her work often explores themes of emotion and nature, using color and textures to convey deep, resonant narratives.
Born and raised in Wyoming County, Krysta recently returned after 12 years in Florida. She has worked in non-profits for 15 years, mainly in the arts sector, doing everything from Volunteer Coordinator to Curator and Program Director.
Krysta's work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, earning her recognition in the Florida art scene. Her pieces are part of private and public collections, and she has been the recipient of several awards, including Best in Show 2 years in a row in the Lake Eustis Museum of Art & Eustis Art League's Annual Juried Members Exhibition. She also collaborates with her lifelong friend and fellow artist Sean Robinson on a project called Metaphysical Monsters.
Beyond the canvas, Krysta is passionate about the community. She is a Mental Health First Aid Instructor. She serves on many coalitions, including the Wyoming County Suicide Prevention Coalition (a recipient of the Meredith Minier Hope Award through the GOW Pathway to Hope Regional Suicide Prevention Coalition), the Wyoming County Food Insecurity Coalition, the Partners for Prevention Coalition, and the Trauma Information System of Care. When she isn't working or painting, she loves spending time with her kids.
