Fondé en 1967. Héritier de la Société des concerts du Conservatoire fondée en 1828, l’orchestre de Paris a donné son concert inaugural en novembre 1967 sous la direction de Charles Munch. Après le décès de son père fondateur, la direction musicale de l’orchestre a été confiée successivement à Herbert von Karajan, sir Georg Solti, Daniel Barenboim, Semyon Bychkov, Christoph von Dohnányi, Christoph Eschenbach, Paavo Järvi et Daniel Harding. Klaus Mäkelä, 10ème directeur musical de l'Orchestre de Paris en 2022 à la Philharmonie de Paris. Conseiller musical de l’Orchestre de Paris depuis septembre 2020, il devient son dixième directeur musical en septembre 2022. _________ Founded in 1967.
