Mahmood was born in Milan in 1992. Singer and songwriter, he has won twice the Sanremo Festival. The first time with “Soldi” (quadruple platinum) and in 2022 with “Brividi” (six platinum records), together with Blanco. As per now Mahmood has 28 platinum records and 7 gold records in Italy and 6 platinum records and 3 gold records abroad, counting a total of 2.5 billion streamings. In June 2021 he released his second, well awaited, album “Ghettolimpo” , certified platinum. This album contains Inuyasha (platinum), Klan (gold) and Rubini, feat Elisa (platinum). Mahmood participated twice at the Eurovision Song Contest, representing Italy, once in 2019 with Soldi and once in 2022 with Brividi, together with Blanco. In 2022 he took his tour all over Italy and Europe selling out almost everywhere, he also performed at Sunny Hill Festival, founded by Dua Lipa and her father. The festival is one of the most important stages in Balcan Europe. Brividi has been the highest debut ever on Spotify, gaining the 5th position in the Top Songs Debut Global, and is still the most streamed track in one day on Spotify in Italy (3.384.192 streams in one day). In October 2022 the documentary about his life “MAHMOOD” debuted at the Festival del Cinema di Roma to be then released on Prime Video. The documentary won the prestigious “Best Docufilm Award” at the Filming Italy Los Angeles.
