Bayou is a singer, songwriter, and producer who can’t be confined to genres or borders. Hailing from Egypt and moving between the United States, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, Bayou’s musical identity was formed through his multi-cultural experiences. Throughout his childhood, Bayou was exposed to Egyptian Pop Legends such as Mohamed Mounir and Amr Diab, while having a deep fascination with Contemporary R&B pioneers Frank Ocean, The Weeknd and Partynextdoor. Bayou’s songs such as “Call Her Right Now” and “Egyptian Wifey” are an exemplification of his borderless musical world. One that expresses a young nomad’s perspective on the beauty and pitfalls of his life in both the East and West.
