IGNITE PEORIA IS BACK AND BIGGER THAN EVER! Central Illinois' premiere arts and makers fest returns to the Peoria Civic Center on August 10. Perfect for the whole family, Ignite Peoria showcases hundreds of local makers, musicians, artists, innovators, dancers, and actors, all in one STEAM inspired interactive FREE day of fun and learning! The proud home of MidWest Makerfest, Sensory Ignite, and Fashion Ignite, this one of a kind festival boasts hands-on creation stations booths where attendees can learn about singing, writing, dancing, building, acting, painting, drawing, coding, 3D printing, robotics, and so much more! Additionally, the event showcases theatre, dance, spoken word, literary arts; and includes two live performance stages plus a bike and car show! And it's free! 🔥

Never heard of “The Listening Room?” We’re Peoria’s first and only mobile open mic community! Join us as we pop up at a different location in Central Illinois every Tuesday evening. See new and established artists on new and established stages and enjoy a rapid-fire open mic experience averaging 10-20 acts per event. While we welcome and celebrate full bands we are especially known for highlighting the many acoustic acts and singer songwriters hidden within the expansive Peoria music community. Host Sarah Marie Dillard from Sarah & The Underground facilitates a unique open mic experience strongly reminiscent of the iconic Bluebird Café in Nashville, TN. 🚀✨
