The Standard Set is a compelling jazz outfit hailing from the wild shores of West Cornwall, breathing new life into iconic tunes and original compositions led by saxophonist Pete Truin. Featuring the impeccable musicianship of Matt Johns on piano, James Macphail on double bass, and Thomas Jackson on drums, this seasoned ensemble spontaneously re-imagines music from the jazz tradition.

Navigating joyful melodies and intricate harmonies together, they captivate audiences with their improvisational prowess and infectious grooves.

We’re delighted to welcome them back to the park for our annual Gin & Jazz event – expertly curated by Pocketful of Stones distillery and their Caspyn Gin. Join us in the Gin Garden!
