JAZZCOOL Faculty Concert

About the Jazzcool Program

As one of the last summer music programs in the country, professional musicians and program instructors, Stan Sabourin, Blake Palm, Terence Wendenburg, and Will Schlackl convene for a fun-filled week of jazz instruction from August 18-22. This is a program designed for students in grades 6-12. Together the instructors assemble combos and focus on improvisational soloing. Classes will be held at The Salvation Army Church.

The week of instruction culminates with a student concert on Friday, August 22 from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM at The Salvation Army Church.

Faculty Concert: On Wednesday, August 20th the faculty will perform at The Hub on Martin from
7:00PM-9:00PM. Tickets are $10.00.

It is highly recommended that students and their families attend, if possible. So much can be learned from listening to professional players. This concert, in part, supports the implementation of the Jazzcool Program. Your support and that of The Salvation Army is key for the program’s continued success.
