Ranked within the top 1000 Canadian Folk artists in the world on Chartmetric , multi-instrumentalist Hendrika is a folk musician from the Yukon. Her love of many genres has led to a versatile and unique collection of original material that pushes the boundaries of modern music - intricate melodies with grounding folk roots, classic rock riffs and soaring vocals will leave you absolutely captivated. Her magnetic live show has been toured across Canada at festivals and stages such as Breakout West 2024, Edmonton Fringe Festival and Dawson City Music Festival. Her song You've Got Gold was included in CBC's top 100 Canadian songs of 2024 and she was also one of Exclaim!'s Emerging Canadian Artists You Need to Hear in 2024.
She released her new EP I Can’t Remember in the fall of 2024 and is touring the album in 2025 across Canada with dates such as Folk on the Rocks, Tiny Lights Festival and NXNE.
Exploring the depths of her musicianship through her solo
project, Sarah Orton's moody soulful live performance was invited to Kaslo Jazz Etc. Festival, Woodstove Festival, Pachena Bay Festival, and Tiny Lights Festival. She also had the great
privilege of opening up for acclaimed artists Ora Cogan, Shaela Miller, and Billie Zizi on their album release tours, all in 2024.
Her first track, "You" earned her Music BC's spotlight artist of the
week, a highlight in Women In Music's e-letter, and a spot on
Exclaims Eh List Canada's best new music Spotify Playlist.
Leaning towards a new organic sound to match her live show,
Sarah is working towards a solo album in the new year with
production started.
