About The Lost Gardens of Heligan
Heligan is one of the most mysterious estates in England. Lost to the brambles of time since the outbreak of World War One, this Sleeping Beauty was re-awakened in 1990 to become Europe’s largest garden restoration project. Today Heligan’s 200 acres are a paradise for the explorer, wildlife, plant lover and garden romantic.
If you’d like to download a garden map in advance, you can find that here.
Accessibility for Petals to Remember
Approximately 13 acres of this can be accessed via even paths including; Productive Gardens, Pleasure Grounds and Home Farm as well as access to the Steward’s House. The Gardens lie on a gentle downhill gradient, so please remember this when you want to make your way back to the exit. The Jungle and Wider Estate are unfortunately not easily accessible to everyone. Heligan has ample toilet facilities on arrival and at the Steward’s House, including accessible toilets.
You can view and download the Accessible Heligan garden map here. You can also find out more about accessibility and facilities at Heligan on their own Accessibility webpage.
