Join us for Strength in Awareness: Turning Hope into Action on May 3rd! This community-wide event is designed to spark conversations about mental health, substance use prevention, suicide awareness, teen dating violence, resilience-building, and youth empowerment. Our goal is to shift the conversation from stigma to empowerment, education, and action by making mental health resources, support networks, and healthy alternatives accessible to all

💙 Awareness Activities
To engage students in positive, skill-building activities, we are working with teachers and student groups from schools across Escambia County to host interactive sections, including:
🎨 Choose Art
Led by Escambia and Tate High School art departments. Featuring an interactive gallery centered on hope, resilience, and empowerment. Participants will help create a collaborative community mural using decorated puzzle pieces.
🏀 Choose Sports
Hosted by West Florida High School’s girls’ basketball coach and team. Students will enjoy friendly competitions and stress-relief activities under the theme:
"Pass on things that block your shot – The Power of Words."
🎹 Choose Music
A special live performance by Tate High School's chorus of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” at 3:30 PM.
🏃♂️ Choose Track & Field
Golden Elite Track Club will lead students through hurdle drills that represent both physical and mental challenges.

🍪 Choose Culinary
Hosted by the ECSD Culinary Department – students will enjoy hands-on cookie decorating with guidance from local culinary leaders.
🐐 Choose Agriculture
Beulah Middle School is bringing their beloved animal friends for a fun and educational show-and-tell experience!
🔨 Choose To Be Constructive
Led by skilled trades teachers from Pensacola High School:
* Woodshop: Students will have the opportunity to build something, encouraging creativity and patience.
* Welding Demo: A live demonstration showcasing the precision and focus of skilled trade careers.
COMMUNITY PARTNERS
