New Driver CPR/AED/FA

Whether you're driving to school work or the beach being prepared can make all the difference. On a road as unpredictable as Highway 98 knowing what to do in an emergency could save your life—or someone else's.


Successful participants will earn a nationally recognized CPR/First Aid/AED certification valid for 2 years.


Course Description:

Highway 98 is one of Florida’s most heavily traveled—and dangerous—routes especially for new and inexperienced drivers. This specialized First Aid CPR and AED certification course is designed to equip new drivers with the emergency response skills needed to stay safe and potentially save lives while driving along this high-risk corridor.

Through hands-on practice real-life driving scenarios and expert instruction participants will learn how to recognize and respond to medical emergencies such as car crash injuries cardiac arrest choking and trauma. Special attention is given to the unique challenges posed by Highway 98 including high-speed traffic pedestrian hazards and limited emergency access in rural and coastal areas.

What You'll Learn:

  • CPR for Adults Children and Infants: How to perform chest compressions and rescue breathing.
  • AED Use: How to operate an Automated External Defibrillator in roadside emergencies.
  • First Aid Basics: Wound care managing shock treating burns and handling fractures.
  • Scene Safety and Assessment: How to protect yourself and others at the scene of an accident.
  • Emergency Scenarios on Hwy 98: How to respond to collisions pedestrian injuries weather-related incidents and medical emergencies in high-traffic or remote areas.
  • Legal and Ethical Considerations: Good Samaritan laws and your responsibilities as a first responder.
