An Introduction to Three Decembers

Go behind the scenes of our upcoming production of Jake Heggie’s Three Decembers in this special, free community event. Led by Music Director Cody Martin, this engaging presentation will take you inside the world of the opera—exploring its poignant themes, heartfelt story, and the creative process behind bringing it to the stage.

You’ll gain insight into the work’s history and characters, and learn what makes Three Decembers such a moving, intimate piece of contemporary opera. The afternoon will also feature live excerpts from the score, performed by Jack Chandler, Rachel Gibson, and pianist Marine Eckert, offering a sneak peek at the stunning music you’ll hear in our full production.
