Our comprehensive Remote First Aid course prepares you to provide effective first aid in outdoor settings. Designed for individuals of all experience levels, this course focuses on treating injuries and illnesses commonly encountered in wilderness environments. Over two engaging days, you’ll participate in classroom lectures, hands-on practice, and real-life scenarios, ensuring you gain the confidence and skills needed to respond to emergencies.
Who Course is For: PackRafters, Scouts/leaders, backpackers, hikers, river guides, and anyone who spends their time working and playing outside!
This course also includes CPR training and certification, covering vital topics such as:
Lifting and moving casualties
Fracture immobilization, including splinting
Head and spine injuries
Hypothermia and heat illness
Burns and snake bites
Major bleeding management
CPR techniques
Common medical conditions (diabetes, anaphylaxis, asthma, etc.)
Extended care needs of casualties (toileting, eating, etc.)
Responding to multi-casualty scenarios
Coordinating and working as part of a group response
Interacting with other medical staff
The course includes key Units of Competency, ensuring you leave with the expertise to handle emergencies with confidence
