VIC100 2025 Tench Avenue, Jamisontown NSW, Australia - Welcome to VIC100 - Ride to Beat Depression
VIC100 is our new charity cycle event. It’s a 100km cycling event from Penrith to Mt Victoria via the iconic and stunning Bells Line of Road, closed to all through traffic. Unlike the current GFB event to Broke, VIC100 is designed for 1000 to 2000 entrants, with train stations at the start and finish line. But for our first year we’re limiting the event to 800 riders. So don’t wait to register!
Riders will self select one of four speed groups, of approximately 200 riders each. The group speed guides below are based on the average speed you can maintain over a 50km undulating to hilly course. Remember, VIC100 has over 2200 meters of vertical climbing and two steep climbs at Bell Bird Hill and Mt Tomah. Your average speeds on event day will be a lot slower.
Group One – Departs 5.30am – avg speed guide 17km-20km/hour
Group Two – Departs 6.15am – avg speed guide 21km-24km/hour
Group Three – Departs 7.00am – avg speed guide 25km-28km/hour
Group Four – Departs 7.30am – avg speed guide 29km-33km/hour or higher
All registered riders will receive a detailed riders guide a month out from the event. For more information see the VIC100 web page.
