ITC Level 3 Certificate for Forest School Leaders
Join us in Grizedale Forest, South Cumbria for an opportunity to learn a higher level different approach to using the outdoor environment as a Forest School setting.

Accommodation: This venue has accommodation onsite at an additional cost of £200 per week. A camping area is also available.
For this, you will receive two weeks of practical, face-to-face training in a small group setting, course materials (some online content), ongoing support and membership of the Forest School Association.
This course is ideal for anyone who wishes to coordinate, manage and lead Forest School sessions with children, young people and adults.
What does this course include?
You will investigate how best to design and run a Forest School programme and look at how to approach and apply it safely and effectively.
This Forest School Level 3 course is aimed at individuals who have a minimum Level 2 qualification in Youth Work, Child Care, Teaching, or relevant experience in working with children.
The course content of this qualification is based on up-to-date research surrounding aspects of
• Holistic development
• Neuroscience
• Theories of Learning and Development
• Woodland conservation, history and management
• Wellbeing and nature connection
• Risk benefit assessments.
Please note: Candidates will need to complete a 2-day ITC outdoor paediatric first aid course at their own cost (this is not provided by Kindling Play and Training, but we can recommend good providers).
What does this course consist of?
Initial training week - consisting of 5 days of training (Monday - Thursday: 9:30am - 5:30pm & Friday: 9:30am - 4:30pm)
2 x Hour long mandatory online webinars.
Portfolio work - candidates take away their portfolio to work on (For about 7 months)
First Aid - Candidates will need to complete a 2-day ITC outdoor paediatric first aid course at their own cost (this is not provided by Kindling Play and Training, but we can recommend good providers).
A Second week - Consisting of 5 days for further training and benchmarking.
1 x Fifteen-minute one-to-one call with Lily once the course is completed.
