Tree Planting & Pruning Workshop

The Georgia Forestry Commission will be in Pendergrass for a Tree Planting & Pruning Workshop on Tuesday, March 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the OLD City Hall, 65 Smith Bridges St.

A Certified Arborist will lead a short indoor presentation followed by outdoor, hands-on demonstrations. Topics will include:
• Proper tree planting
• Correct tree pruning
• Protecting trees during construction
• Planning ahead for storm damage
• And other practical tree care topics

This training is designed for our Public Works crew, but community members are welcome to attend. Anyone who has trees on their property will learn something useful.

If you plan to participate in the outdoor portion, please bring a hard hat and safety vest. We may have limited extras to share, but we cannot guarantee enough for everyone.
