Next up at the Community Cinema is the acclaimed "Maria" it's a tearjerker of movie that covers the last week in the life of Maria Callas before she passed away in Paris in the mid 70's. As you will know Callas disappeared from the public eye in the mid 70's due to addiction and failing health, the film tells her story in a series of flashbacks. Angelina Jolie plays the part of Maria Callas and really captures the spirit of the great Diva.
Showtime is 7.45 pm on the 30th May, doors will be open from 7.00 to give you time for a glass of wine from our paybar.
I really hope you can join us, tickets are priced at £5.00 (£4.00 for over 60's) plus a small booking fee, and can be obtained here

We've previously been asked about future screenings, as such we've looked at what's available and have decided on a couple of excellent films
Our June screening is on the 28th June at 7.45 pm, we've selected another Biopic, this time it's Bob Dylan "A Complete Unknown" and tells the story of how Dylan found fame and covers the early days of his career.
And finally on the 18th July, a complete change of genre when we screen Florene Pugh's latest film "We Live In Time" a romantic drama charting the lives of two lovers over a 10 year period - yep you guessed it, it doesn't end well (hankies at the ready!)
I do hope that you an us on the 30th (and our June & July screenings as well).
Tickets are all on sale now.
