Wildfire: Close to Home – Pemberton Fire Rescue on the Frontlines

Join us for a screening of Close to Home, a recent episode from Knowledge Network’s Wildfire documentary series featuring Pemberton Fire Rescue.

Filmed during the 2023 wildfire season, this episode gives a powerful behind-the-scenes look at how our local fire department faced increasing wildfire threats at Gun Lake and worked with the community to respond.

After the screening, stay for a Q&A and community discussion with local fire officials, FireSmart representatives, emergency experts and one of the filmmakers of the series. The panel will explore wildfire preparedness, community resilience, and how residents can take action to reduce risk.
