Join us in person or online for a viewing of the award-winning film Screenagers, followed by a facilitated community discussion — proudly presented by DPAC of SD48.
Are you noticing young people constantly pulled into their screens — scrolling social media, gaming, and struggling with focus?
Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston wondered the same thing as she navigated screen use with her own children. Her questions about family dynamics, learning, and youth mental health became the foundation of Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age.
The film takes an honest, relatable look inside real families as they face challenges around social media, video games, academics, and screen dependence. Blending heartfelt stories, moments of humour, and insights from leading experts, Screenagers explores how screens shape children’s development — and, most importantly, shares practical strategies to help adults support kids in finding balance.
All funds collected from ticket sales will go directly toward future DPAC events, workshops, and learning opportunities for families across SD48.
