It's that time of year again for the Tour of Lakes Gathering Pelican Rapids Municipal Airport-Lyon’s Field 47Y!!! Come join us for an informal gathering of PPG/PPC/Ultralight pilots July 18 - 20 for a weekend of like-minded people to get together and enjoy some flying !!

- There’s no cost for this gathering.
- Dry camping on site welcome and there is a dump station in Pelican Rapids $10
- Avgas available on site but exact cash or check ONLY, find me to purchase
- Terminal has water, 2x bathrooms and a small gathering area
- Restaurants, gas stations, fast food, hardware store, grocery, etc In Pelican Rapids only 5 miles/7 min away
- Dunvilla has a restaurant and hardware store 4.5 miles/6 min away
- Big John's Pelican Pizza said they will deliver to the airport. Delivery hours may vary. 218-863-8888
- For those who want a motel Pelican Motel in Pelican Rapids may have a few rooms avail Call Joe at 218-863-7829
- Maplewood State Park is 12.5 miles/18 min away for hiking/biking/swim beach/etc. Vehicle Permit required cost is $7 day or $35 for yearly permit per vehicle
- Pets are welcome but please be respectful of others as well as pick up after them

For people who are not part of the gathering, you’re welcome to come watch, but please don't come into the flying area. This will help avoid congestion and reduce risk of injury.

Safety:
Pilots launching from the airport during the event should have at least PPG 2 level skills of flight (no rating required).
Absolutely NO harassment of animals.
Absolutely NO flying in close proximity to groups of people, vehicles, or over the housing developments in the area.
Absolutely NO breaking of FAR’s at this gathering… IE: No night flights, or flights over the city center.
When flying near the LZ launching pilots have the right of way. Maintain 500′ altitude and yield to launching or landing traffic.
Please keep to a left traffic pattern when around the LZ.
