Join us for a fun program about pollinators and how to plant your own pollinator garden!!
Lead by David Willis, a registered beekeeper and owner of Central Alabama Honey & Apiary (a family-owned and operated apiary here in Shelby County, AL) this program will introduce you to the ecological importance of our Central Alabama pollinators and what pollinator plants do well locally. The session covers the process of pollination, who pollinates (bees, butterflies, bats, birds, etc.), the importance of pollination gardens, and guidance on how to plant a pollinator garden at your home!
Transform your yard and communities into thriving pollinator habitats. By the end of the program, we hope all attendees will have the knowledge and confidence to start their own pollinator-friendly garden and help support biodiversity in your local environment!
Space is limited for this program, so registration is required. To register for the class, please call Park Event Coordinator Anna Jones at #205-620-2536. There is no fee to participate in the class, but the park does charge an entrance fee.
We can’t wait to enjoy this class with you!!
