Over the last few months.. we've been playing around with different 'challenge categories'. This is only for fun, and no one is obligated to play along. We're doing it just to be a little different... and sometimes step out of our comfort zone. We've had quite a few people come onboard and play along. By the same token.. there's never any pressure to pick up a category... everyone who sings is always appreciated.
Monday July 21 - Your "Out of The Box" Categories are:
1) "The 80's" Choose your favorite Song from that decade. Ten Years of Hits.
2) "Songs About Rain"
I'm not holding specifically to the word "Rain"... even though there are quite a few songs that feature the word. Interpretation: You can expand to other "weather events" that would include Rain.
3) "Whose Kid Is This?" (Title Suggested by a Friend. I also thought about "Kids will be Kids".
Think words like "Kid", "Youth" "Child"... If it is in the Title, or prominently featured in the body of the song, or.. part of the name of the Artist... Run with it.
Examples: "The Kid Is Hot Tonight" by Loverboy, "Sweet Child O'Mine" by GnR, "Kid Rock", There's a lot of them out there.
