Chocolate Making Workshop with Screaming Chimp Chilli #Chocollaboration

T his is one of our collaboration workshops, where we invite a local producer to share their wonderful products and ingredients with us. The idea is to enjoy creativity and experimentation together , to try and taste different recipes and combinations. With host chocolatier Jane Williams, this is going to be led by your creativity. Choose how to use the ingredients - choose whether to create bars of truffles (or both), choose what chocolate to match the ingredients with (milk, white, dark, or your own mix!) and whether to pair it with other ingredients. Bring a friend, and enjoy experimenting with chocolate together. Or come on your own, and meet other creatives who love chocolate too! These one-off events promise to be an exciting chocolate experience, and you can take your creations home with you to show your friends and family.

In this event, we welcome Niall from The Screaming Chimp Chilli Company. His award winning sauces are incredible, if you've not tried them before, we're really glad to be able to introduce you to them. Niall's going to be bringing a selection of his sauces, as well as his chilli peanuts for us to blend with chocolate. Some are really hot and spicy, some focus on fruity flavours (pineapple and strawberry, for example). There is good reason that Chilli was one of the original spices used with cocoa by the Aztecs. The strength of chocolate can match the flavour, while the cocoa butter helps us absorb the heat, and we can enjoy the combination in all its fullness.
