Claude Monet achieved fame for being the initiator, leader, and unswerving advocate of the Impressionist style. In his work he did not try to reproduce a scene faithfully as examined in detail but rather attempted to record on the spot the impression that a relaxed, momentary vision of the scene gave him. Monet was at the forefront of modern art in the 1890's with his series' paintings of Haystacks, Cathedrals, Poplars and Views of the Seine.
Water Lilies is not a name of a single painting, but a name of a series of works. During his lifetime, Claude Monet comes back to this subject matter several times, and painted more than 250 water lilies paintings.
Along with Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, Monet's Water Lilies series of paintings are the most iconic images of Impressionism.
In this wonderful acrylic painting workshop you will be guided to create a likeness of one of these fabulous Water Lilie paintings by master artist Claude Monet.
Our essential like the Masters 'Artreach Art Night' painting workshops are an excellent way to practice drawing + painting + spend a fun, creative evening.
You will learn and practice composition + colour combinations + sketching in + painting + historical context avec Master artist Claude Monet as we study one of his beautiful paintings created from his home in Giverny.
*** This particular artwork will have a particularly accessible process to follow so excellent for absolute beginners + improvers and those that would like to have a go!
All Materials and equipment is included (you will be painting on an A3 canvas!

FAQs Is there a minimum age requirements to enter the event? We use age as a guide and recommend this workshop for children age 16+, although an adult could potentially do this workshop alongside a younger person.
