WALL ART: This art workshop is designed to take you on a guided step by step journey, discovering techniques of some of the finest master and contemporary abstract painters + lets create a stunning piece of home decor, learn art history and have fun along the way!
This workshop is a must for those that would like to let go of their inhibitions and explore creative play - we will explore texture, line + markmaking +++ using Acrylic Paints!
We will take a look at a few past + a number of contemporary artists, artists, Willem De Kooning, Cy Twombly, Helen Frankenthala, Gerard Richter and a number of contemporary artists, who paint an expressive, abstract style!
We will help you plan your colour palette, composition and how to avoid making mud!
We will explore movement + rhythm in painting and it's role in painting with freedom. We will guide you through a number of techniques to help you free your inner artist!!
We begin this workshop with a short presentation and a brief background to the expressionist movement and how this has influenced the contemporary art scene. We will then take you through the process of creating your own expressive painting with a number of different warm up exercises.
The aim of this workshop is to learn abstract technique, paint with freedom and passion to create a powerful painting that you will be proud to hang in your home or office.
