Bogue Chitto Youth Fishing Rodeo

Get Your Fish On at the the Bogue Chitto Youth Fishing Rodeo, Saturday, June 7!

Reserve your spot now - registration is now OPEN to children between the ages of 4 -15. This family event is for both experienced and new anglers. Fishing mentors will be available to help teach kids how to fish! Event is from 7:30 - 11:30 a.m. (fishing stops at 11 a.m.).

Bring your own fishing pole or use one of ours. Registered children receive a t-shirt, bait, the use of a rigged fishing pole, and the whole family gets lunch! Prizes will be awarded in age groups (4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15) as well as a Grand Prize for the overall biggest fish. Registration fee is $10/child. Financial aid is available.

Event is hosted at the Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge near Pearl River. After fishing for prizes is over, the pond is open to all anglers to enjoy Louisiana Free Fishing Weekend June 8 - 9 so you won’t need a license to fish that day!
