EXPLORATORY FIELD TRIP BETWEEN PAYSON and SHOWLOW 4 or 5 LOCATIONS

WHERE ARE WE GOING
• We plan on exploring 4-5 separate sites between Payson and Showlow.
• The locations include: the R-C Scout Ranch, a site along the Young Road south of Highway 260, Forest Road 300 near Black Canyon Lake, a site east of Heber, and a site near Pinedale.

MEETING LOCATION and TIME
• We will meet at 9:00 a.m. at Jack in the Box in Payson.
• The street address is 301 E. State Highway 260, Payson, AZ.

UNLIMITED PARTICIPATION
There is no limit to the number of club members or guests who can go on this trip. This would be a great day to invite your friends and the younger members of your family.

VEHICLE INFORMATION
• Any vehicle will make it to the meeting location and to most, if not all, of the sites we plan on going to.
• Some of the sites we have not been to in the past, and we do not know the condition of the roads.
• If possible please take 4-wheel drive, higher profile vehicles. Quads and side-by-sides are recommended if you have any.

WHAT WILL WE COLLECT
It has been reported that we will find petrified wood, fossils, agate, zebra agate, red jasper, and chalcedony with possible fire agate.

RECOMMENDED THINGS TO TAKE
Club badge, buckets, basic rock collecting tools, shovel, stiff rake, trash grabber, water, lunch.

FEES
There are no fees for exploratory field trips.
