About the event

Introduction to Qigong Community Workshop
We’re excited to share that we are going to organize a new community-based, free workshop series focusing on Holistic Health Hacks!

These workshops will be by community members for community members to focus on sharing information on natural, accessable ways to improve quality of life, no matter your health and wealth.

We provide the platform, you provide the participation.

Holistic health hacks involve small, consistent changes to improve overall well-being by focusing on mind and body. These include practicing mindfulness and meditation, incorporating physical activity like taking the stairs or going for walks, prioritizing sleep, staying hydrated, and eating a balanced diet rich in whole foods . Other strategies involve connecting with nature, limiting alcohol and processed foods, and staying mentally and socially engaged.

Our first workshop* will be an 'Introduction to Qigong' lead by Linus Meyer of Fruitland. The workshop will take place at Healthcare With Heart in Payette who has graciously donated their lobby space.

Qigong (pronounced "chee-gung") is an ancient Chinese mind-body practice that uses coordinated body posture and movement, controlled breathing, and focused meditation to cultivate and balance "qi" (vital life energy) for improved health and well-being

Qigong is considered to be good for overall health maintenance and disease prevention, and it is widely used to improve physical well-being, mental health, and manage symptoms of various chronic conditions.

About Linus: "I first started taking Tai Chi classes in the 1980s in Flagstaff, Arizona. In the 2000s I was a member of a Spa/Gym in Taos, New Mexico that offered Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Zhan Zhaung classes; I participated. I have attempted to continue the exercises over the past few years, but have not had the discipline to continue the practices by myself and therefore looking for individuals with similar interests to meet and practice the modalities"

No RSVP needed. There is a seat with your name on it!
(Help stop the spread of illness and please do not attend if sick.)
