Powerful Kriolas 2025

Starting in 2023, Powerful Kriolas has been an uplifting event for Cape Verdean Women and members of our community. Our central goal has been to share stories, build relationships and showcase the extraordinary work we do for one another while being unapologetically Kriola.

Each year we have a guest panel, professional headshots, open mic, and networking opportunities. This year, Kincaid McLaren will be taking professional headshots and Janine Baptista will be doing free express make-up services! We will also have a vendor fair for those who have small businesses and services.

Powerful Kriolas 2025 will be held at 10 Rocks Tapas Bar and Restaurant on Sunday September 14, 2025 from 11a-4p.

Tickets are $25 per person which a includes small appetizer buffet, professional headshots and event participation. Students with a valid ID will be offered a discounted ticket for $15, but must present ID at the door.
