About the event

Permaculture Workshop at Poretsou Monastery
Permaculture Food Forest, Vegetable Garden and Water Retention
Landscape Strategies for a dry Mediterranean Ecosystem

This workshop will cover the basics of permaculture principles and
design, companion plant vegetable gardening, food forest creation, fruit tree planting, soil building, mulching, and WRL strategies. Together we will work to start planting a food forest with fruit trees and shrubs.

Poretsou Monastery is located between the two village settlements of Agrabela and Platanitsa, at an altitude of 800 m. by the Erymanthos River, in the Kalavrita Municipality of North Peloponnese. You will find a peacefully remote mountainous and pristine natural forest setting. It is a place to rest, restore, ground and recenter.

If you are interested in creating ecologically resilient and healthy food systems and water cycling strategies for your home and community, come and join us!

The workshop will be held in English.
