Bewitchingly dreamy and glowing with fuzz, **veronicavon** is the brainchild of songwriters Chris Hackman and Xuan Nguyen, who joined forces in 2020 with a (secret) plan to stay sane and explore uncharted horizons in lo-fi pop. Together, they conjured a universe of grainy synths, cassette-drenched drums, and warbling guitars, where Nguyen’s enchanting vocals swirl in a wistful, playful, and instantly addictive dreamscape.
That kind of punk attitude is what we are all about. And so we introduce to you, **Hollis Howard**. A musician who just has it. She’s a vision, she’s a talent and she’s going to be touring around the world faster than you can say go Hollis go. Bright Young Things has always been about putting talented yet perhaps undiscovered kids up on the pedestal where they belong. Get up there Hollis - it’s your time to shine.
**Scott Bartenhagen** is a tall 26-year-old with a weird last name, a native of the tiny town of Lathrop, and a folk singer and guitar player. Scott’s hometown is a sleepy place at the foot of the infamous Manteca Waterslides, a beloved water park. In Lathrop, he picked up his mom’s guitar in 6th grade, got into jazz, and eventually found his way into Tejano music group Los Bandidos, a band he toured with for several years, before engineering an indie folk sound all his own.
