Deron Johnson is an award-winning pianist and composer with a decades-long career spanning jazz, pop, film, TV, and narrative podcasts. Discovered by Miles Davis in 1991, Johnson played on Davis’ final album Doo-Bop and toured globally with him. He later recorded and toured with Stanley Clarke, David Sanborn, Alanis Morissette, and Seal. In 2013, Johnson became Head of Music at TWC, composing for acclaimed films like Silver Linings Playbook, August: Osage County, and The Founder. Since 2019, he's led music at QCode Media, scoring hit podcasts including Hank the Cowdog (Matthew McConaughey), Edith! (Rosamund Pike), and The Prophecy (Kerry Washington, Laurence Fishburne). His recent film score includes The Prank (2022), starring Rita Moreno. Johnson lives in Los Angeles with his wife, songwriter Andrea Remanda, and their daughter.
